About Kiwanis

Who is Kiwanis?

Kiwanis is a global community based organisation dedicated to improving the world, one child and one community at a time.

What do we do here in Australia?

The short answer is lots! Right around Australia, Kiwanis Clubs are working hard in your local community. It might be a Terrific Kids program in a local primary school which recognises students who are trying to be the best they can be. It might be supporting Heart Kids Australia through train days or family camps. It might even be a working bee at a local special development school. But one thing is for sure, wherever a Kiwanis Club is, rest assured they are involved in their local community.

Where can I get more information about Kiwanis?

Go to www.kiwanis.org.au. From there you can find out lots more information on Kiwanis, including what Club/s are in your area.

Why did Kiwanis International choose maternal and neonatal tetanus?

Kiwanis International chose to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus (MNT) because there is already a proven action plan in place, the results are measurable and Kiwanis could partner with a successful organisation. In addition, Kiwanis will be a leader and global health advocate on this issue.
